This is only my second iPhone laundry application review and I’m already running out of material. There might be a couple more reviews in the future, but that depends on app developers and whether or not there’s a growing need for laundry applications. I’m not feeling too optimistic about that.

Anyways, here’s the latest: the Purex Laundry Help app

Like the LaundryPal application from last weeks’s review, Purex Laundry Help puts laundry tips-and-tricks at the touch of a button (actually, at the touch of a touch-screen). There’s a similar fabric care and clothing label decoder, but the point of differentiation with this application is the stain guide. This is especially helpful for those on-the-go stains (i.e. food stains at a restaurant, grease stains from changing a tire, etc.).

If you need some help finding your way around the laundry room, there’s an app for that. It’s true. The HipFire’s LaundryPal App for iPhone gives you all the laundry advice and tricks you need at the tip of your finger. It has simple instruction, more “advanced” tips (like when to use bleach and when not to), sorting advice and a laundry care symbol decoder that helps translate those hieroglyphics on the tags inside your garments. Let’s face it — there’s no need to make room for LaundryPal on your home screen, but it’s a nice resource to have when you have a laundry related question.  Users give it a 4 out of 5 star rating. We give it a 5 of 5. Then again, we’re all about laundry.
